Our OriginWhile attending our church, we were drawn to a weekly Christian 12 Step group. After attending consistently for over a year, we began to fellowship with several other members of the group and began drawing from each other’s personal recovery experiences, failures, and successes. Our vision was born out of four weekly meetings. Using our life experience, we developed the concept for an inpatient recovery center followed by transitional housing and a work program unlike anything currently available for substance abuse treatment. We began to reach out to traditional clinical, and faith-based recovery centers in our surrounding area. Amazed by the open-handed policy of some of these facilities we continued to bridge the gap in the recovery community, and among ourselves. The value of evaluating our entire experience in clinical treatment, and identifying healthy goals, values, and beliefs built on the truth of God in faith based recovery was the starting point of this bridge. Months of work followed, and step by step, God worked it out. A name was selected, by laws written, a Board of Directors voted in, and a state incorporation was filed. We continue to move forward putting God first, and never compromise what our practical real life experience shows us will give all the opportunity to heal, re-identify, and grow into what God designed them to be….
Firm Foundation Recovery, Inc. rebuilds lives on a biblical foundation, re-connecting to Christ using clinical care, Christian 12 Steps, and the Bible.
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his own house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house; yet it did not fall because it had it’s Foundation on the rock”. Matthew 7:24-25 NIV
